10:57 pm - Tonight's bitch and complain hour
I thought when I got up to UMaine and had broadband, I'd be busy. I'm really just bored.

Why is it that once I get up here, no one posts on Leoville... or Slashdot... or even the TechTV boards? There was so much to get through on my 56k. I really have to go find a life somewhere. Are those banned from eBay yet?

Check out my new blog at http://www.justinrussell.com .

That's the new Blogrolling address for it, too, if any of you have MT/non-LJ blogs.

I found out today that my first time watching TechTV (Zip File, specifically; I didn't catch TSS until after Kate left, I'm pretty sure) was on December 5, 2000.

Earlier than I thought.

Being away for a few days certainly has its disadvantages, like having to have Mom tape three episodes of TSS (thanks, Mom :)).

I really have to say how well Megan did hosting. She's great on camera and should be considered as a backup host when one of the regulars isn't there. It's awesome to see how quickly she's gotten used to being on camera.

In other news, I'm pretty much pissed about what happened to Jazy's article generator (here and here. Sometime I'm going to rant about it, but I can't right now.

1:33 pm - My new campaign
Well, I've been in a Perl-coding mood the last couple of days. You know what that means.

Talk about mood swings.

In the past few hours I've seen Carol post to CC, seen Leo be a fun mood again (ie his post to the Bug Reports section), and gotten to talk about some people more than usual. Leoville might actually come back. Woohoo!

And since I'm not totally obsessed with Leoville, I've had free time today, been listening to tunes, and being overall in a pretty darn good mood. This is nice. :)

9:08 pm - The Cap Recap
Here's the new home, for now. Who knows where it will end up.

I'm glad I was able to get that last one. I really needed a nice, close-up, great picture of Morgan.

I used to really love Leoville. I laughed so hard, I met so many great people, and I got to talk with some of my favorite Screen Savers. But then it got big. There were so many posts, so many different kinds of humor... I don't mind it, it's just not what I always went to Leoville for. I can get what I get at Leoville now at a lot of other places. The old part that made me cry from laughing and that was a stress reliever instead of a stress producer is the part I miss. I've talked with Stef and J about this some, and I have a feeling I'm not the only one who feels like this. So will I move away from Leoville? I think it'll always be a part of me, but a smaller part. It's time for new things. I've been thinking and talking about this a lot lately, so I'm sorry to drone on and on.

Some people have been talking about how they want ZDTV back. I never understood. Now I do. Today I officially start my own crusade: I want something like the old Leoville back. Are you with me?

You know you're a geek when you spend hours of a day updating and making your blogs look good.

I changed the colors of my LJ to the TSS colors and tweaked some of the Overrides, but there's still a long way to go to get it perfected. Tonight I worked on the blog at justinrussell.com so that it actually looked presentable on my iMac. Let me know what you think of both of them, both what you like and what you think would be a good change -- I want feedback!

I know how it will be: I'll get home today and probably have a message from Stef in my Leoville private messages bragging about how she's done and it's summer and blah blah blah. Well here I am, 12 days to go in school, and we got snow this morning. Of course, I'm used to that much living in Maine and everything; we usually get at least some snow after the middle of April. But anyway.

I got some great caps from the show last night ranging from Megan licking a dremel tool to Pat cleaning out Leo's ears. The show's been pretty good this week, but I still can't forget the people who were laid off. That just sucked to hear. On the other hand, I've been getting lots of e-mail lately and I really like it. Look for the Sledgehammer to be updated sometime this weekend. I'm heading home, but I'll find time.

I have a blog. Here, to be exact. I don't really have that much interesting stuff to say. So why do I have a LiveJournal?

Well, Stefanie [info]outofhunk was nice enough to give me a code, and after much convincing (she's one of those people who are hard to say no to), I'm here. So what will I use this for? I'm thinking I'll stay with my blog on my home page for most of the stuff in my life but post my TSS thoughts here (since I haven't been updating The Sledgehammer lately and most of the TSS community blogs on here). So stay tuned for my thoughts and stuff.

Oh, and if you want to leave comments, go ahead! They don't need to be on topic. :-)
